UP!
Developed
the script and directed the American premier at the La Jolla
Playhouse of the Obie-winning solo show 2.5 MINITE RIDE with
writer/performer Lisa Kron. 2.5 MINUTE RIDE has toured to
theatres all over the world and was recently performed in
translation in Japan. Recent directing credits include SHOOTER
at the Perishable Theatre,
SIGHT UNSEEN in the Leeds Theatre, FILLER UP at the Gloucester
Stage, 'ART' and ALWAYS PATSY CLINE at Pennsylvania Centre
Stage.
Lowry taught improvisation for many years at the Eugene O’Neill
Theater Center in Waterford, Connecticut. Guest artist residencies
include the London Academy of Theater and the Williamstown
Theatre Festival. She is Artistic Director of the Brown/Trinity Playwrights Repertory Theatre, a summer company that develops new work by emerging playwrights. This year she has begun
teaching solo performance to MFA candidates at the new Brown
University/Trinity Repertory Theatre Consortium.
