SUMMERS

ME IN THE STOMACH
Alison
Summers moved to New York from Sydney, Australia in 1990.
She had her off Broadway debut (with PUNCH) in 1991. Her direction
of PUNCH won her the honor of being presented as the 1992
director in the prestigious New Directors' Series by New York
Theatre Workshop. Since then she has redirected PUNCH for
several touring productions of 'PUNCH!' in Australia, New
Zealand and the United States and Canada.
She
has worked in film, as an Australian Film Commission script
assessor, and a story editor for numerous directors including
Wim Wenders.
In
New York City she has directed theatre productions for Alice's
Fourth Floor, Circle Rep Lab, the West Bank Cafe, Here, La
Mama etc, Theatre off Park, Classic Stage Company, the Miranda
Theatre Company, New York Stage and Film at Vassar, H.B. Studios
and the Women's Project amongst others.
She
is a member of the Linclon Center Director's Lab. Summers
was recently resident director at New Dramatists, New York
City.
